Vision and Values
At Woodlands, we believe every child should grow with determination, resilience, and aspiration—ready to succeed in an ever - changing world. We place well-being at the heart of all we do, knowing it is key to personal and academic success.
We are committed to equity, ensuring all individuals are valued and given the right support and opportunities to thrive. We celebrate both diversity and shared experiences, nurturing each child to reach their full potential.
Our learning environment is secure, stimulating, and tailored to children’s interests. Through hands-on experiences, children build knowledge, think critically, and explore creatively—developing a lifelong love of learning.
We aim high academically, but also focus on developing kind, tolerant, and responsible citizens. We foster positive relationships, encouraging fairness, cooperation, and respect. Every child is supported to grow intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Woodlands is a caring community where behaviour reflects our values, and children learn to value themselves and others—ready to contribute thoughtfully to the world around them.
At Woodlands we DREAM
At Woodlands, we actively teach our core values—determination, resilience, equity, aspiration, and building relationships—because we believe they are essential for every child’s growth and success.
Through daily learning, assemblies, and interactions, children explore what these values mean and how they shape their choices, behaviour, and relationships. We help them understand that determination and resilience support them in overcoming challenges, equity ensures fairness and inclusion, aspiration drives them to aim high, and strong relationships help them thrive in a caring community.
These values are woven into everything we do, helping children become confident, respectful, and thoughtful individuals—ready to succeed in school and in life.

What is success?
Success is about happiness, choices and feeling good about yourself. Successful people feel good about:
- How hard they have tried
- Who they are
- What they spend their time doing
- The choices they have made in their lives.
Here are some things our children know…
- You are not born successful.
- Everyone has setbacks and failures
- The first step to success is choosing…. asking do you want to be successful?
