I think the photos say it all. We had a GREAT time!
We all had a fantastic time yesterday being Roman soldiers! Even if the long march did hurt our feet.
Dear parents and carers,
Thank you so much for once again supporting our school book fair! In total, the school sold £1165 worth of books which means that we will be given £700 worth of FREE books for your children to enjoy! As a school we are so grateful for such overwhelming support…happy reading!
We have had some amazing Roman artefacts brought in for the homework project (see pictures). The children are all very excited for their trip to ‘The Dewa Roman Experience’ in Chester. Just a reminder that payment is due THIS friday (21st June)
Our theme for Arts week was based on ‘The Enchanted Wood’ which is a famous story written by Enid Blyton.
Based on this story the children were set 3 quests from the Woodland Fairy to solve by the end of the week to unlock the treasure chest. Inside was some jewels and each child was lucky enough to be able to take one home!
In Literacy children had to write their own magical adventure story and in Maths children were set a different problem linked to our woodland theme. Children also made a class tree which is on display outside our classroom as well as clay leaf bowls!
What a lovely week of activities we had!
The children have had a lovely time at enguity today!
Our topic this term is ‘The Romans’. We will be looking at the spread of the Roman empire, the Roman army as well as looking at historic evidence of what Roman life was like.
Today we explored some amazing rocks and fossils during our Science lesson. Here are some pictures.
We had a great time at the church performing our Easter play. The children really enjoyed themselves singing the songs and retelling the Easter story. Here are a couple of pictures of us performing.
This term Year 3 children will be looking at the Stone Age. We have already discovered where they lived, how they ate as well as what they wore!
Children have a project homework set which is due on the 11th February to make a Stone Age house from materials they already have at home! We can’t wait to see them and put them on our display!
